Runners Ridge Vineyard

The vineyard is planted on the ridge tops of our farm in Harrison County Kentucky. The first commercial winery in the United States was located on the banks of the Kentucky River in Jessamine County. Wine all but left the Commonwealth during prohibition. Kentucky now boasts over 70 wineries, and we are proud to be part of the new Kentucky wine tradition. We currently grow Chambourcin, Vidal Blanc, St. Vincent, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Geneva Red and Frontenac.

Pepina Rosé

Pepina Rosé gets its name from the Shawnee Indian word for a vine that wraps itself around the tree. This medium bodied rosé is a delightful blend of Vidal Blanc that is enhanced by the addition of Cabernet Franc. It is a dry wine that pairs well with cheese or is delicious on its own.

Riley’s Run

There is a road at the bottom of our Chambourcin block that leads to the entrance to the farm. When our hound dog Riley had enough of the long days in the vineyard, he could be found making his way along what is now fondly referred to as Riley’s Run, in search of his comfortable bed. In honor of Riley.

Prima Vino

Our 2021 Prima Vino received a Silver Metal from the Kentucky Commonwealth Commercial Wine Competition. The 2022 vintage is a 50/50 blend of Merlot from California and Australia. This unique blend married the fruity cherry notes from the Australian grapes with the light tannins from the California grapes. This vintage will appeal to both sweet and dry wine lovers. Pair with food or simply enjoy the complexity and fruit forward expression on its own.

Depending on your palate, you might also say it has notes of chocolate or tobacco. Enjoy with robust dishes such as steak, lasagna or lamb.
